Sun, June 4 - Atlantic City NJ to Great Kills NY
The gold orange sunrise greeted us as we pulled out of the Atlantic City channel at 545 am. It was going to be a long day - 11 hours on the water. There were many boats on the ocean this sunny Sunday - pleasure craft, small fishing boats, large drift fishing boats and ocean going ships. Colletta was the first to stretch out on the lounge chair and get a nap. Shortly afterward, Tom cuddled in his fleece blanket and took his turn napping. The seas varied from calm to 2 feet and the route was very simple and straight heading north with the only obstacle of other boaters At 13:15, still 30 miles out we got our first glimpse of the New York City skyline. The ride around Sandy Hook and into Great Kills NY was completed with us tying to a mooring ball for the night. Pizza and leftovers completed our day. We will sleep good tonight!

This boat passed us on the way to NY. He is 140 ft.
long and was cruising along at 13 mph. We googled him
and the current owner paid $17 million for him.
